Deploy

Data export and switching policy

Version 1.0 Effective 7 October 2026

Deploy is a product of Vimonto. These documents are an agreement between you and Vimonto.

Our legal documents are available in English only. The English text is the one that applies.

This policy explains how to obtain Deploy data, switch to another service or close your account. It forms part of the Deploy Terms and supports applicable EU Data Act and data protection requirements. Contact info@vimonto.nl. Mandatory rights and the Data Processing Agreement prevail where they offer greater protection.

1 Cancellation, switching and closure

Cancelling Premium renewal normally returns your account to Free at the end of the paid month. The account remains open, and information needed for the Free service is not automatically deleted. If you want to switch, terminate earlier or close the account and delete its data, tell us specifically.

Email info@vimonto.nl from an authorised contact. Identify the account and whether you want to switch to another provider, use your own systems, retrieve your data or close the service with deletion. State a preferred date if you have one. We may proportionately verify your identity and authority. We require no additional advance notice period before starting a verified switching request.

We will confirm the affected service, export scope, transition arrangements, planned end date and any steps needed from you. We will coordinate any paid subscription cancellation with Polar or the relevant seller.

2 Export scope

Exportable information includes your input and output data, relevant metadata and digital assets generated through using Deploy, to the extent held by us and covered by applicable law. Depending on your use and the retention period, this can include server and site inventories, configuration, environment settings, customer-provided scripts, schedules, worker definitions, project membership and permissions, deployment history, retained logs and AI interaction records.

We provide structured information in a commonly used machine-readable format such as JSON or CSV, and scripts and text records in a readable text format. The appropriate format depends on the type of record. Exports may be supplied through supported product functions or by a secure arrangement with support; a dedicated export button is not required to request an export. We make applicable interfaces and the technical information required by law available to assist switching.

Customer-owned secrets require verified authority and a protected delivery method. Where transferring a credential would be inappropriate, we explain the secure reauthorisation or replacement needed at the destination. We do not disclose Vimonto’s own keys, account password hashes or another customer’s data. These safeguards do not justify withholding your own exportable data unnecessarily.

Vimonto’s proprietary software, protected internal material and trade secrets are excluded only to the extent the law allows. We will explain material exclusions and provide an appropriate lawful alternative where necessary.

3 Resources on your servers

Deploy does not host your application repositories, databases or application backups. Retrieve them directly from your independent server, repository or backup provider. An export of Deploy’s configuration and logs is not a backup of your application.

We will give reasonable assistance in identifying which information is held by Deploy and which remains in your own infrastructure. Switching does not guarantee that another platform automatically reproduces every Deploy feature. You and your destination provider are responsible for configuring and testing the destination; we remain responsible for our statutory interoperability and agreed assistance obligations.

4 Transition and continuity

We normally complete switching within 30 calendar days after the transition begins. During the transition we maintain the contracted functions reasonably needed for it, protect the data and cooperate in good faith with you and your destination provider to support continuity. The absence of an uptime SLA does not remove these transition obligations.

If completion within that period is technically unfeasible, we will explain the technical reasons within 14 working days of receiving the request and specify an alternative period no longer than seven months where permitted by applicable law. Inconvenience alone does not justify an extension. You may extend the transition period once for a period more appropriate to your purposes in accordance with the applicable rules.

For a switch, the affected service agreement ends on successful completion unless a later date is agreed. If you request deletion without switching, it ends on completion of the applicable termination process. You do not have to wait for a later renewal merely to exercise mandatory switching rights.

5 Retrieval and deletion

After the transition ends, you have at least 30 calendar days to retrieve exportable data. Closing an account without a switch also includes a 30-day retrieval period unless you validly instruct earlier deletion. We will state the deadline. Retrieval access is not a promise that active deployment or other paid functions continue after termination.

At your choice, Customer Personal Data is returned and then deleted, or deleted without return, under the DPA. After the retrieval period, we remove active customer data without undue delay, ordinarily when the period ends. Residual backup copies are isolated from ordinary processing and deleted or made irrecoverable within 90 days after active deletion. A necessary lawful preservation obligation may apply to limited records; we restrict their use to that purpose.

An earlier deletion request is coordinated with any unfinished export so that you understand what will become irrecoverable. Data on your independently hosted servers is not deleted merely because you close Deploy. You must revoke obsolete Deploy keys, tokens, agents and webhooks and review external recurring jobs after disconnection.

6 Fees

We charge no standard export, switching, data-egress or early-termination penalty for the process described here. Ordinary recurring service charges accrue only while the affected paid service continues. Amounts prepaid for the period after its effective termination are reimbursed proportionately through the seller; properly incurred usage charges and independent third-party charges remain payable.

This accounting on completed early termination is distinct from ordinary month-end cancellation and is an express exception under the Refund and Cancellation Policy. We do not charge for merely retaining exportable data during the standard post-termination retrieval window.

Optional work outside our statutory and contractual switching obligations, such as rebuilding an application for another platform, requires a separate scope and price agreed in advance. Buying optional work is not a condition of obtaining your export or exercising statutory rights.

7 Infrastructure and government access

The provider register describes the infrastructure and relevant jurisdictions. Primary application data and platform backups are hosted in the EU. External services may involve international processing as explained in the Privacy Policy and DPA.

We apply proportionate access controls, encryption of stored secrets, confidentiality requirements and review of government demands to protect data against unauthorised access. For third-country demands for non-personal data held in the EU, we assess the validity of the demand and available legal safeguards, challenge it where required, limit disclosure to what a valid obligation requires, and inform affected customers where lawful. We do not treat an informal foreign request as automatic authority to disclose customer data.
